Simple Love

Just enjoying this precious face everyday. Amelia is such a joy! She is a cackler when she is trying to laugh. She is cruising around all the furniture. It is so hard to believe she will be one in a few short weeks. She is saying Dada and sometimes think I might hear Mama. She isn't really associating them with us yet, but we would like to think so. She loves her big sister even when she pushes her over and sits on her (Something we are working on..haha).

Which Holiday is it??

Well, I decided I better post Halloween so I can eventually get to Thanksgiving and Christmas!  ha!  I used to be so good at posting.  I guess I am spending too much time on Pinterest.  Here are a few from the Halloween month.
My two sweet girls.  Amelia will be 11 months on Tuesday and Avery is two and half.  The pumpkin patch was so bright and lots of mosquitoes.  They both had tons of bite and runny noses this day.

So serious!  She loved that tiny pumpkin.

Avery is getting so big.  She is a good little helper, but she is also a menace too. :)  She sings all the time and loves to talk.  She cracks us up every day.  Time to start writing down all the cute things she is saying.

We had a Halloween party with our Bible Fellowship class and we won last year...so this year we had a little pressure.  I had a hard time coming up with something, and I just wanted Avery to have fun with it.  It all came together (even if we didn't win).  Avery was Strawberry Shortcake, Amelia was a Cupcake.  I made Josh and I aprons that said Sugar and Spice...well, mine actually said "Suga" because I couldn't fit the "R" on it.  It was hysterical.

Carving the pumpkin with Daddy

Amelia still little tiny to carve the pumpkin so she watched from the pack-n-play

Loves to color!

Strawberry Shortcake.  Too cute.  She asked me on the way to our party that weekend before, "Mommy, where are my spots?"  I said "what spots?"  She pointed to her nose...she meant freckles.  It funny!

Checking out her goodies from her grandparents.

Our little cupcake!

She is such a happy baby.  She really started crawling the last week of October.

The best pic of the girls together (with the backdrop of my totally 80's china hutch....planned to DIY it one day and still hasn't happened).

Amelia with her Gi Gi and Granny Helen

My parents with the girls.  Didn't get one with Josh's parents both together.  Need to make sure I am better with getting it all.

Trick-or-treating!

So happy

Avery and her friend, Paige.  Even though there is almost four years difference, they have so much fun!

Checking out their candy after the night is over and baths.  Picasa is doing something weird so I couldn't get the last picture added.  Their jammies are so cute!

Amelia's Baby Dedication to the Lord

On October 16, we celebrated Amelia's dedication to our Lord at church.  It was such a special day.  Here are a few pictures of the occasion.

Trying play catch up.  It has been one month since I have posted.  Lots has been going on.  More to come.

Our little family.  Love Avery's face...ha!

Our amazing pastor, Dr. Mark Hartman, presenting Amelia to the church.

Checking out her pastor.
We went to lunch with our families after at Ragin Cajun.  Lots of fun and good food.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. 2 Peter 3:18

Catch up

Last week was Grandparents Day at Avery's preschool.  Her grandmothers, Ma Z and Gi Gi got to come visit.  She was so excited and loved seeing both of them.  That same day Amelia had her nine month check-up.  The following day, Avery went for her first haircut with her cousin, Carson.  Then just had to share some cute pics of Amelia.  Whew, lots going on.

Thank you for all the sweet calls, emails and prayers for my Dad.  He is recovering well now and getting stronger each day.
Painting frames with her grandmothers.

Showing them how it is done.

Cheese!  It is really hard to get her just to smile now rather than "Cheese" it.

Amelia was chilling eating the keys.  Her favorite toy!  On another note, I never went out of the house shoes or socks on Avery when she was a baby.  I guess Amelia truly is a second child, but I will say that she just kicks them off in the car when I get them on her.

Yummy keys.

Another sweet pics with her grandmothers.

Just love her sweet face.

Avery with her Ma Z.  Another cheese face (not sure what is going with the bottom of this pic if it comes up weird).

Avery with her Gi Gi.

Amelia at her doctor appt after her flu shot.  She surprisingly did pretty well!

Avery getting her first haircut with Carson.  Pre-cut

Sitting in the car ready to go!  Wild hair and all!

Movie on and ready to go...then the lady had to answer the phone.  Then she was ready to get out of the car. Bummer...maybe next time!

Getting her hair trimmed in my lap.

Pretty girl after!

The curls just really came out again.

She did so good.

Now, it was Carson's turn, and he is an old pro..however, he still doesn't love it.  This look is priceless.

Avery was busy shopping while waiting on Carson.
The cuties together.
Trying to get them to smile at the same time is so hard. :)
Now off to McDonald's for lunch and playtime.
They had so much fun.

Amelia all dolled up after church on Sunday.  Had to show off her cute outfit with tights.
She is growing too fast.  Still need to post her army crawl video.  To come!
