Fall Fun

We took the girls to the fall festival in our neighborhood this year.  My sister and Carson met us there.  The kids had so much fun!  Just a few pics of the HOT Texas day!

The best of the three kiddos.  My sister got the girls their precious Hello Kitty outfits.  Perfect for the weather.

So cute..stair steps.

Amelia gets so red when she is hot but so sweet.

Enjoying some lunch under the shade tree with Daddy!  Josh sporting his Tech hat in honor of my Red Raiders!

Just monkeying around

Carson getting batman face painting

Avery getting a butterfly

Sweet cousins

Riding the ponies together.  Amelia just sat on it, and I have attempted to upload three different pictures and all came up fuzzy.  I seriously need to figure out why my blog looks cruddy compared to so many others.

Carson with the smiling Llama.  It literally smiled when you held up the camera.

Sallisaw 2012

We had a wonderful trip to Sallisaw America (Oklahoma) during Labor Day.  Josh's grandfather turned 89 yesterday!  We were happy to be there early to celebrate and see all but one second-cousin.   The girls had a blast.  We didn't go last year so this was Avery's first visit.  We flew this time, and Josh's mom went with us too.  It was such a huge a help.  The girls were great.  Going there, neither of them slept, but Amelia slept almost the whole way home.  Here are a few pics from the trip.

Amelia's first flight.  Paci in ready to help with the ears.  She liked the Dum Dum better than the paci though.
Josh's mom with Avery (I still need to figure out why some pictures upload funny)
Picture a little out of order, but we had a fun pool party at Josh's cousin's house.  They have a gorgeous pool and outdoor kitchen area.  All the great-grandkids (minus one - Jason) with Bobo.

The girls with their second cousins, Gus and Emma.  Such precious girls!

Enjoying a delicious grape popsicle on a hot summer day.

Happy girl after her nap.

Back to the pool party...all of the fabulous photos from here on are courtesy of Josh's cousin, Jennifer.  Maybe someday I will take great pics like her.

Avery LOVES her second cousin, Matthew.  She was glued to him the whole trip.

I think Avery just tried to take a chunk out of Matt's hair.

Amelia just chillin' while Gus was pushing her around.

Almost the whole gang that was in town for the holiday weekend...Lani is taking the picture so we miss her.  Can't wait to go back soon!  I guess it will be after #3 arrives.

First Day of Preschool 2012

I am going to make a concerted effort to get back on track with blogging.  I might even actually try "blogging" and not just picture sharing.  For now, here are the girls first day of Preschool.  This was Amelia's first year and Avery's second.  Avery was definitely an "old pro."  Amelia did really well; she didn't even cry when we left her.  She took a nap too which was a huge feat since Avery had to have her back rubbed last year to go to sleep.  So needless to say, Avery was pretty spoiled by her sweet teachers last year so she hasn't napped much this year.  Avery's class is definitely encouraging them to grow up which makes me sad, but I also love to see what she is learning.

On another note, Avery is saying the most hysterical things these days.  She says "actually" a lot.  She said "Mommy, do you know what is totally gross?"  I said "no what?"  Avery: "Coffee."  Don't know where she got that from, but I guess I can't agree with her more.  The other day I was asking her to put her shoes in her room, and she said "I'm on it."  Just cracked me up!

Amelia is also talking up a storm too.  She has latched on to a bunny that she got at Easter, but the funny part is that she calls it "Money."  She goes around the house saying "Money, Money" in a precious, high-pitched voice.  She also puts the word "me" in front of most everything.  "Me Pass (for pacifier), "Me Money," "Me Poop."  She is a hoot.  Her facial expressions in these pictures from school are hysterical.  She really is such a happy, easy-going baby.  I guess she is a baby for a few more months...boohoo!

Posing at the house.  Amelia was not into the picture taking.

Cracking me up

Walking into school.  Notice how Amelia's backpack is in the center of her calves.  She would not let me hold the handle to lighten the load.  She said "no,no, no Mommy."  Cheap mommy wasn't going to spend $10 less for the preschool backpack that would only last one year at most.

Avery getting to see one of her best girlies, another Avery!

So happy they are in the same class again.

We were thrilled Josh got to come this year.

Amelia in her new class room just checking things out.

Not sure what to think, but she never fussed.  Just kept her hands in her mouth a lot.  I am sure we will be getting some wonderful sicknesses soon.  :)

Went back to check-in with Avery and she was already building a train.

She looked at me and said "Mommy, can I stay in my class?"  She was so happy to be back in school.

On the baby front, all is going well so far with Baby #3.  Going to have the big ultrasound on October 5th, but we are still not finding out the sex and we are still so excited about it so don't try to talk me into it.  :)   Avery is determined to have another baby sister and even decided her name should be Jilla or Ariel.  Sorry folks those names will not be making the cut,  but it does make us laugh.  I really started feeling the baby move last week, and I swear he/she used both feet to kick at once while I was watching "The Voice."  It made me jump.  Can't wait for the end of January but treasuring all the moments of a family of four!

Another little bug...

Well, when I chose this blog name, I thought there is no way we would have more than "Two Loved Bugs."  God had another plan for our family.  We are expecting another baby due on February 8, 2013.  We are very excited after the first few weeks of initial shock wore off.  We have decided that since this baby has been a surprise bonus for us, we are going to keep the surprise going and not find out the sex.  NOTE:  Don't try to talk me into finding out!  :)

I learned I will be AMA this year...no, that is not "Against Medical Advice," it is "Advanced Maternal Age."  AHHHHH!!!  Isn't that horrible?  So we decided to move forward with the First Trimester screening since my doctor recommended it.  I am so glad I did it because even though I don't have the results yet, I got to see this precious baby again.  It is AMAZING how much you can see at 12 weeks.  Here are a few pics of our new Loved Bug.  Oh, and no...I won't be changing the blog name on you all.  I haven't been that great about blogging with two so I can only imagine how much less it will be with three.  Sad to say!

Please keep this baby in your prayers to continue to grow healthy and strong!

Profile of baby looking up.  You can see the sweet nose already.
Face looking sideways.  Ultrasound tech said hardly any fat on the face so looking alienish.
Baby head to bottom measuring almost 7 cm.
Legs and feet.  Isn't that wild how a baby that is less than the size of a lime is already so developed.  What a miracle, Lord!
Baby's arm and hand.  He/She was a wiggler and opening and closing his/her mouth too.
Waving bye until next time!

Tiny Dancer

Amelia is definitely our little dancer.  She shakes her hips to every song.  This isn't even the best hip shaking, but I had to get it on video before she moves out of this phase.  We could just eat her up!

Happy Father's Day....a little late

Another belated post!  We enjoyed celebrating Father's Day and sharing the weekend with three special men.  Josh is an incredible father that loves his girls...we are so proud to be his family!  Here are just a few pics from the weekend.

After church and lunch.  The girls were fading, but they love their daddy!

We celebrated my Dad the night before, but I happen to have my camera in my purse at church so got a picture of us three.  My Dad is so amazing!

Celebrating Josh's Dad after church at lunch.  Another amazing father!
Avery with her Aunt Chrissy!  Not sure what is happening with these two pictures..it makes me so mad. If anyone else uses blogger and knows why, comment me.  Thanks!
This was a hysterical shot of my precious girl.  She was so upset because we wouldn't let her have the butter for the bread.  We finally gave in.  She was so happy just to eat the ball of butter.  I guess I should say she is definitely a momma's girl!

Mother's Day and Last Day of Pre-School

I am so far behind on my postings and haven't even posted about Avery's 3rd birthday which was at the beginning of May, but I am still waiting for some pictures from my parents' camera.  We had a great time in Galveston for Mother's Day weekend, and Josh and I even went on a date.

Going out!  We went to the strand for dinner at The Gumbo Bar and had a drink at the Rooftop Bar at Treemont Hotel.  Would highly recommend the lounge to just sit out when it is breezy and sun going down.

The next morning Avery wanted rollers in her hair.

We went to church with my parents at their satellite church, First Baptist Galveston.  It was really great.  Had lunch at Olympia Grill on the Harborside.  Delicious greek food.

The whole family.  Check out Elissa behind us.

Nothing is better than being a mother to my two precious girls.  Amelia walked off, and it was so windy that my hair covered Avery, but I love them both so much!

Then we headed back home and spent the evening with Josh's mom.   We didn't make it back in time to take her to dinner because the girls took a nap, but she was able to go with Josh's brother and wife.  We got to hang out and relax for the evening together.

This is the last day of preschool with two of her favorite older boy-friends (not boyfriends).

Avery with her teachers, Ms. Judy and Ms. Tina.  They were absolutely fabulous.  I know Avery misses them this summer.

Avery and her best boy-friend in class, O'Ryan.  She adores him!

The two Avery's...always attached together.
More summer fun to come!
