Our house is.....

Paci-free!!!  Well, at least for Avery! :)

I wanted to potty train Avery, and my mom so kindly pointed out to me that a little girl who could be potty-trained should be broken of her pacifier first.  She was so right!  Well, I started almost two weeks ago during naptime only.  It was horrible...for three days straight, she cried for two hours until she cried herself to sleep.  I still let her have it at night-time.  I would tell her she could have it at night-time when it was really dark.  Two Fridays ago, Josh's parent's offered to have Avery spend the night.  I sent the paci, but they said she never asked for it so they didn't give it to her.  Score!  I decided that we were going to cold-turkey, all or nothing after that.  I just told her that it was at GiGi's house when she asked for it, and we would get it next time we see her.  She only asked for it once the next two days and nothing has been said again.  The downside is that it takes her FOREVER to go to sleep during nap and night-time.  We have tried to wear her out so she will be very tired, but she will talk to herself for over an hour all the time.  It is harder on Mommy than Avery. :)

Next step will be the Big Girl bed (twin bed)!  Today, when I went to get her out of her crib, she said "I want down" like she normally does (no more cuddling and holding in the morning).  The next thing I know she has both legs swung over the crib like she was sitting on the rail.  I am suspecting it will be this week that I find her playing in her room rather than in her crib.  Will keep you posted.  Here are a few pics from this weekend.  I need to take more of Amelia, but it seems I take pics when Amelia is sleeping.

Oh, on another note, Amelia laughed out loud yesterday at Avery rolling on the floor.  It was so cute.  Avery also was hysterically laughing this morning at Amelia who was kicking and cooing.  Her arms and legs where just flailing around and Avery said "she is so funny."  I can't wait to see them together as Amelia gets bigger.

In a few weeks, Avery will be two.  We gave her this swing for her 1st birthday.  She still loves to "Swing high"
She sees the camera now and says "cheese."  Bummer!
Check out my amaryllis.  We moved them to another flower bed so only two bloomed this year, but they are so pretty.
Our first baby girl, Hagen, loves having two little girls in her house.  Unfortunately, she gets booted to the backyard more because Mommy feels like everyone is under her feet.  She still gets lots of loving at night though.
