Happy Holidays

It seems like it has been forever since I have posted so lots to share.  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with both of our families, but we were all sick.  I thought Avery was finally teething which caused her a stomach bug, but come to find out it must have been a stomach virus because Josh and my in-laws all got it.  I had a cold...so it was a very uneventful holiday weekend.  We had to miss Josh's cousin's wedding...we were bummed.  We have so much to be thankful for with our new addition to Thanksgiving this year.  I posted a few weeks ago that Avery started crawling and now she is everywhere.  We will look up, and she will be across the room.  So, we have now the joy of baby proofing the house.  Our Security Manager at my work gave us all the safety items so we are ready to go.  Since we were all sick, I haven't begun putting up all of our Christmas decorations.  We did get the tree up last night so we are anxious to see when Avery starts making her way over there.

On the helmet front, Avery is making progress.  Thank you for all of the prayers.  Two weeks ago, we had another scan of her head.  The scan showed she has made progress in the front of her head and now they are working on the back.  I finally received all of the paperwork from her pediatrician and the therapist.  The pediatricians had some discrepancies on it (like the mention of the wrong insurance company...ahhh!), but as soon as that is complete I can send in the appeal.  Please keep this in your prayers.

On Sunday, November 22, we had the wonderful blessing of dedicating Avery back to God at church.  It was such a sweet experience.  Our Pastor, Mark Hartman and his wife, Kathy, were there to pray for Avery.  We are so blessed to have such a wonderful church home.  Here are a few pics.

We had our family over for lunch and dessert. Look at the precious cake (I didn't make it).

Posing again with our little Angel.  She is getting so big.  Seven months on Dec 1st.

Avery had found she loves to crawl under everything now especially her exersaucer.

"Look at me, mommy!"
I wanted you to see her curls, but at the same time I took the picture she spit up.  Sorry!

Avery pulls herself up on her bouncer and the ottoman. She thinks she can be very independent, but then she falls on her fanny.
Avery's favorite puppy stinks like nothing I have smelled before.  So you mothers know the celebration I had when I found another exactly like it.  She fell in love with this puppy only two months ago.  See the new fluffy puppy on the left compared to the old one.  Needless to say...she loves the nasty smell.  She is not ready to sleep with the new one yet.  I find myself rubbing the new puppy to the old one.  Geez!

Crawling under the coffee table at my parents house in her Thanksgiving outfit.  There is not a good picture of her cute outfit"

  1. Did you try putting it in the washer? I mean... it may fall apart, but my mom always washed my favorite animal. I slept with it until William kicked it out of the bed last year ;)

  2. We have washed it so many times, and it still stinks after a day or so. I have four back-ups now.
